AN EXPLORATION INTO SURFACE; THIS COLLECTION IS BASED ON THE MOVEMENT, DIS- PLACEMENT AND CHAOTIC OPTIMISM AND THE PROGRESSION OF ONE THING TO ANOTHER. DISHEVELLED FORMS FALL AND PEEL FROM THE BODY, LIGHTLY KEPT IN PLACE ASYMMETRI- CALLY BY TIED STRINGS. DISRUPTED FORMS AND ECLECTIC SURFACES REFLECT THE RECENT MOVEMENTS OF THE STUDIO FROM EAST TO SOUTH LONDON, THE ACCUMULATION OF WORK AND THE PHYSICAL SHIFTING OF THIS ACCUMULATION EVIDENT IN THE LADEN HAND WORK IN THE HEAVY TEXTURES OF THE TEXTILES WHICH ARE PATCHED AND STRAPPED ACROSS THE BODY. OPTIMISTIC GARLANDS OF FINE VELVET FILLS JAUNTILY DECORATE THE BODY IN CEL- EBRATION. LINEAR STAR SHAPED STRAPPING CROSSES AND CONSTRAINS THE FORM BEFORE CASCADING INTO GENTLE ELONGATED LINEN PLEATS. THE USE OF FLAX, CANVAS AND STRING ARE EMPHASISES ON THE NEW BEGINNING OR ‘BLANK CANVAS’ ASSOCIATED WITH ARRIVING IN A NEW PLACE FOR THE FIRST TIME BUT ARE JUXTAPOSED WITH A STRENGTH OF THE RED.
