BEAZLEY DESIGNS OF THE YEAR 2020 | THE DESIGN MUSEUM

PHOEBE ENGLISH was shortlisted for the Design Museum annual Beazley ‘Designs of the Year’ exhibition and awards within the Fashion category for our ‘Nothing New’ collection.

The ‘Nothing New’ collection was founded on a fabric project; exploring locality, collaboration, distance, and design community. The entire collection and its subsequent production, comprised of reclaimed non-virgin materials sourced from our local vicinity of London, reducing distance and pre-consumer textile waste. The Quilted Jacket, exhibited within the Design Museum exhibition encompasses our circular waste approach. The jacket is made from the pre-consumer production waste created when garments from the previous collection were cut out during the production process.
