THE METROPOLITAN MUSEUM OF ART, NEW YORK, ACQUISITION

The Sunray Dress from our Memory Shapes collection has been acquired by The Metropolitan Museum of Art, New York, as a part of the Costume Institute’s collection.

Crafted from precious silks, gathered as offcuts through our bridal waste stream network, layered together to give an ordered yet chaotic movement. Carefully sewn together using organic cotton sewing thread and naturally dyed with British grown weld which gives the Sunray Dress its luminous sunlight glow.
